The High Tech CV Bruins fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Ocean View Christian Patriots on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Patriots 33-28. High Tech CV has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Ocean View Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carmen Palacios, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds. It was the first time this season that Palacios scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Montse Acosta, who scored a point along with 21 steals and five rebounds.
High Tech CV's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Ocean View Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
High Tech CV will be playing in front of their home fans against the Falcons at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Ocean View Christian, they will head out on the road to take on the Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
