Sage Hill waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles 3-0. This was payback for the Lightning, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Sage Hill was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-11, 25-20.

Despite the defeat, Capistrano Valley Christian had strong showings from McKenzie Meserve, who had seven digs and four aces, and Kaia Pelkey, who had 15 digs and six kills.

Sage Hill now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Capistrano Valley Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9-1.
