Freedom Christian Academy put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Lawrence Academy Warriors get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. The Patriots' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last five games.
Rylan Miller was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, KK Swinson was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Genesis Lebron was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Freedom Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lawrence Academy only posted an OBP of .062.
