The Sage Creek Bobcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Torrey Pines at home and fell 57-30. Sage Creek has struggled against Torrey Pines recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was lila swisher, who scored seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Harmony Lawler, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and three blocks.
Grace Trusso was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds for Torrey Pines. Another player making a difference was Harper Kelley, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Sage Creek's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6. As for Torrey Pines, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sage Creek will take on San Dieguito Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. San Dieguito Academy is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. As for Torrey Pines, they will be playing at home against La Costa Canyon at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. La Costa Canyon has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 260 points over their last four contests.
