Valley Christian has won five straight games at home, while Making Waves Academy has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Vikings will host the Marlins at 4:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Tuesday, Valley Christian beat Richmond 12-7.

Valley Christian got a massive performance out of Noa Capistrant, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. The Vikings are 5-1 when Capistrant posts two or more runs, but 3-5 otherwise. Easton Hernandez was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Valley Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Making Waves Academy got the win against Emerald on Tuesday by a conclusive 19-8.
Gustavo Rosas was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Rosas was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last 21 times he's played.
In other batting news, DaMaury Olsen was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and two stolen bases. Those two triples gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Juan Gomez, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Making Waves Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-5-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Valley Christian, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Valley Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 10.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Making Waves Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Valley Christian suffered a grim 18-8 defeat to Making Waves Academy in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Vikings have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
