The Scales Mound Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 27 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Dakota 72-42 at home. The victory was nothing new for Scales Mound as they're now sitting on three straight.
Thomas Hereau was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with six assists and five rebounds. The contest was his tenth in a row with at least ten points. Evan Cogan was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 12 assists and six rebounds.
Scales Mound's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 24.5 points. As for Dakota, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
Scales Mound will head out on the road to face off against South Beloit at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. South Beloit will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Dakota will take on Warren in a holiday battle at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday at. Warren is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
