The North Smithfield Northmen will face off against the West Warwick Wizards at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
North Smithfield took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over Davies Career & Tech. Considering the Northmen have won four matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

North Smithfield got a massive performance out of Dylan Nickerson, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those five RBI gave Nickerson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Tremblay, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
North Smithfield was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .552. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, West Warwick waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 9-5 win over the Broncos.
Mason Hunt made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hunt was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Luke Gallo, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Joe Riviera was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
West Warwick's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for North Smithfield, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
