The Central Dragons lost against the Penn Cambria Panthers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Central fell 45-34 to Penn Cambria.
Leading Penn Cambria to victory were Makenna Mccoy and Addie Hite. Mccoy scored 15 points along with 5 steals, while Hite dropped a double-double on 10 points and 12 rebounds. Hite is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Reagan Ronan was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 9 rebounds and 7 steals.
Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Penn Cambria, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central will challenge Penns Valley Area at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Penns Valley Area is ranked 60th, while Central is ranked 69th). As for Penn Cambria, they will head out on the road to face off against Westmont Hilltop at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
