The San Pasqual Academy Dragons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight defeat. They fell 29-17 to Borrego Springs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to San Pasqual Academy of the 26-8 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Borrego Springs' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Michelle Llamas, who scored nine points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Dulce Morales, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
San Pasqual Academy's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Borrego Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 4-13.
San Pasqual Academy will stay at home for another game and welcome the RoadRunners at 4:00 p.m. on February 6th. Calexico Mission comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 11 points in their last nine games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Borrego Springs, they will head out on the road to square off against the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
