The Borrego Springs Rams suffered their biggest defeat since December 8, 2023 on Tuesday. They suffered a tough 35-15 defeat at the hands of West Shores. If Borrego Springs hoped to take revenge for the 16-9 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Despite the defeat, Borrego Springs saw an underclassman step up: Michelle Llamas scored six points.
Borrego Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for West Shores, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Borrego Springs will stay at home for another game and welcome Calexico Mission at 4:00 p.m. on January 25th. Calexico Mission comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 11 points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for West Shores, they will be playing in front of their home fans against San Pasqual Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. San Pasqual Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
