Sadly, the Orange Cove Titans are still looking for their first win of the season after 28 contests. They were beaten by Summit Charter Collegiate Academy 58-8 on Thursday. Orange Cove has not had much luck with Summit Charter Collegiate Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Summit Charter Collegiate Academy found their leader in underclassman Evonie Mendoza, who scored 15 points along with four steals. Mendoza has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Jaden Perez was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven steals and six assists.
Orange Cove dropped their record down to 0-28 with that loss, which was their 22nd straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Summit Charter Collegiate Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-12.
Orange Cove does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Summit Charter Collegiate Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
