Basketball Recap: Fallbrook Takes a Loss

Fallbrook lost against Westview back in December of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Fallbrook Warriors had to suffer through a 73-34 loss at the hands of the Westview Wolverines. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-13.

Despite the loss, Fallbrook still got an impressive performance from Grace Nordeen, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 boards. Nordeen is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 51 games she's played dating back to last season. Emma Donaldson also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steal of the season.

Sarah Heyn continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Westview, shooting 5-for-6 from beyond the arc and dropping a double-double on 21 points and 11 assists. Westview is 11-4 when Heyn posts ten or more assists, but 1-2 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Maren Zimmer, who went 6 of 12 en route to 12 points and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Fallbrook and nudges their season record down to 11-8. As for Westview, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Fallbrook didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 93-55 loss against Mission Hills on the 24th. As for Westview, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 45-37 victory against Rancho Bernardo on the 24th.
