After a string of four wins, the Brandywine Heights Area Bullets's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a hard 43-26 fall against Wyomissing. While losing is never fun, Brandywine Heights Area can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 347th, while the Spartans are ranked 110th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wyomissing to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amaya Stewart, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Annie Mccaffrey, who scored 12 points.
Brandywine Heights Area's defeat ended a eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-8. As for Wyomissing, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 20-0.
Brandywine Heights Area will be playing at home against the Mountaineers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Antietam comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Wyomissing, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Crusaders at 11:00 a.m. on February 3rd.
