Great Mills is 8-2 against Chopticon since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Great Mills Hornets will head out on the road to face off against the Chopticon Braves at 6:30 p.m. Chopticon took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Great Mills, who comes in off a win.
Last Monday, Great Mills humbled Northeast with a 56-17 victory. The win was just what Great Mills needed coming off of a 60-28 loss in their prior match.
A'naija Bush and Telisa Adams were among the main playmakers for Great Mills as the former scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals and the latter scored 15 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Laila Murillo, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Chopticon came up short against King George on Monday and fell 45-36.
Great Mills' victory was their third straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1. As for Chopticon, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Great Mills was able to grind out a solid victory over Chopticon when the teams last played back in February, winning 58-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Great Mills since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
