It was a good run, but the Rosary Academy Royals unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Saturday. The match between Rosary Academy and Glendora wasn't particularly close, with Rosary Academy falling 50-34. Rosary Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Glendora apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2016.
Glendora's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rylie Anderson, who scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds and 7 steals. Anderson is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Brianna Gomez was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Rosary Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-1. As for Glendora, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.
Rosary Academy will face off against Aquinas at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Glendora will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Ramona at 6:30 p.m. on December 13th.
