Severance had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Pueblo Central on Saturday. The Silver Knights blew past the Wildcats 12-2. The Silver Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Severance has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Pueblo Central, their loss dropped their record down to 20-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Severance beat the Wildcats by a score of 12-2 later that day.
