Ware County won against Benedictine last Tuesday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Gators were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Cadets. Considering the Gators have won 16 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Ware County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Benedictine, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-14.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Ware County beat the Cadets by a score of 7-4 later that day.
