Westridge is 0-10 against Providence since November of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Westridge Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Providence Pioneers at 5:00 p.m. Westridge will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 747th, while Providence is ranked 212th).
Last Friday, Westridge was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 41-37 to Mayfield. Westridge has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Providence entered their tilt with Chadwick with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Providence came out on top against Chadwick by a score of 36-24 on Tuesday.
Westridge has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Providence, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4.
Westridge was taken down by Providence 73-20 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can Westridge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
