West Ranch was the  3-1 winner over Hart when they last played one another  on Wednesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats fell just short of the Hawks by a score of  6-5 on Friday.
 Mikey Murr put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching four innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   three  hits. Murr was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with two  runs.

West Ranch dropped their record down to 16-9 with the  loss, which was their third straight  on the road. As for Hart, their record is now 12-9.
 West Ranch and Hart should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage  in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Wildcats (ranked 127th) will meet Golden Valley (ranked 752nd)  at 3:15  p.m.  on Wednesday. Meanwhile,  Hart will  square off against  Canyon  at 3:30  p.m.  on Wednesday with a big rank  advantage  (246 vs. 907).
