Morrow extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 1-13. They came up short against the Lovejoy Wildcats, falling 19-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-11 back in August.

Seivyn Fletcher and Ja'Meerah Harris did some serious damage despite the final result: Fletcher got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs, while Harris went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. Fletcher has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Carrie Clark also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
As for Lovejoy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games.
On Lovejoy's side, Taylin Freeman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Freeman was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.
In other batting news, Kerri McGhee was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with six stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.3 stolen bases per game. Another player making a difference was Dariana Taylor, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs.
Looking ahead, Morrow will square off against Langston Hughes at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 9.9 runs per game this season. As for Lovejoy, they will head out to take on Tucker at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
