The Austin Panthers had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They took down Cameron County 35-19. That's another feather in the cap for Austin, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Cameron County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Trinity Earle, who scored three points along with 12 rebounds.
Austin pushed their record up to 7-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Cameron County, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Austin will face off against Galeton at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Galeton comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last 14 games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Cameron County, they will head out on the road to face off against Otto-Eldred at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Otto-Eldred focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
