The Johnson Ferry Christian Academy Saints will challenge the Scholars Guild Academy Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, Johnson Ferry Christian Academy put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They put the hurt on North Georgia HomeSchool with a sharp 17-2 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Will Miller was a standout: he scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. Johnson Ferry Christian Academy is 2-1 when Miller posts three or more hits, but 1-7 otherwise. Zachary Grayson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and six RBI.
Miller wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Johnson Ferry Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for Johnson Ferry Christian Academy: they were averaging 4.3 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 10.
Meanwhile, Scholars Guild Academy beat Horizon Christian Academy 12-8 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.
Ty Newton was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Justin Whitfield, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Henry Rumble, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Scholars Guild Academy pushed their record up to 10-7 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Johnson Ferry Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-8.
Johnson Ferry Christian Academy might still be hurting after the 16-0 loss they got from Scholars Guild Academy when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Johnson Ferry Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
