The San Jacinto Tigers's 20-6 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell 58-51 to San Marcos on Saturday.
When it comes to explaining why San Jacinto lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mary Oziengbe. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 16 points and 18 rebounds. Oziengbe hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Miyah Stevenson, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
San Jacinto's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for San Marcos, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
San Jacinto will be playing in front of their home fans against Moreno Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. San Marcos' road trip will continue as they head out to face Oaks Christian at 6:30 p.m. on November 28th. Hopefully Oaks Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 39 on Saturday.
