After a string of three wins, the Harvard-Westlake Wolverines's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 62-45 bruising from Marlborough. Harvard-Westlake was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Despite the loss, Harvard-Westlake still got an impressive performance from Deana Thompson, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Thompson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Valentina Guerrero, who scored 12 points.
Harvard-Westlake's loss dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Marlborough, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-11.
Harvard-Westlake will take on the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chaminade has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Marlborough, they will head out on the road to face off against the Trailblazers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sierra Canyon has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,512 points over their last 18 games.
