Justin-Siena is 2-8 against Vintage since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Braves are taking a road trip to take on the Crushers at 4:00 p.m. Justin-Siena will be strutting in after a win while Vintage will be coming in after a defeat.
Justin-Siena had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory on Saturday. The Braves' pitchers stepped up to hand the Fightin' Irish a 12-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Braves, who have now won eight games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Connor Zuehlsdorff looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February.
At the plate, Justin-Siena let Tommy Malloy and Jake Fletcher run wild. Malloy scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Fletcher went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That's the most stolen bases Malloy has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Sangiacomo, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2.
Justin-Siena kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Vintage unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 5-1 to Sonoma Valley. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Crushers couldn't push the score so high this time.
Soren DeYoung was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 4.1 innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up a single earned run any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Vintage saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Blake Porter, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
Justin-Siena is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Vintage, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Justin-Siena hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .333. However, it's not like Vintage struggles in that department as they've averaged .317. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Justin-Siena couldn't quite get it done against Vintage in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 5-0. Can the Braves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
