Baseball Recap: Chaffey Takes a Loss

Chaffey started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Colony. They fell just short of the Titans by a score of 8-7 on Monday. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Chaffey saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emilio Alcala, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. The Tigers are 3-1 when Alcala posts two or more runs, but 3-10 otherwise.

Chaffey's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Colony, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.

Chaffey will welcome Diamond Ranch at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Colony, they will head out to challenge Beaumont at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
