Baseball Recap: Taylor County Has No Trouble Against Covenant Academy

While Taylor County put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Covenant Academy. The Vikings blew past the Rams 12-0. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won 16 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Taylor County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Covenant Academy, they moved to 8-11 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Taylor County will square off against Early County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bobcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.95 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Covenant Academy, they will head out to square off against Central Georgia Arts at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
