Softball Recap: Pocola Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Pocola had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Whitesboro on Tuesday. The Indians put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 11-3 win. Considering the Indians have won eight games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the third in a row for Pocola, bringing their record up to 13-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Whitesboro, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pocola will square off against Roland at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Whitesboro, they will head out to face off against Hartshorne at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
