Marshall is 2-8 against Eagle Rock since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Marshall Barristers will head out on the road to square off against the Eagle Rock Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Marshall can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They came out on top against Lincoln by a score of 53-42.
Meanwhile, Eagle Rock waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins but they left with five. They blew past Bravo, posting a 55-16 victory at home. Eagle Rock has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 22 points or more this season.
Eagle Rock's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brooklyn Romero, who scored 12 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Audrey Campos was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with two steals.
Marshall's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-12. As for Eagle Rock, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
Marshall took a serious blow against Eagle Rock when the teams last played on January 10th, falling 61-28. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Eagle Rock's Nylah Moore, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 15 rebounds.
