Foothill is 1-9 against De La Salle since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Foothill will take on De La Salle at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Foothill 1.6, De La Salle 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Foothill's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Dougherty Valley 7-0. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won eight games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Take Sato-Kreis tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February.
At the plate, George Schmitt was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Hudson Flora, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, De La Salle waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Gaels.
The result came thanks to Graham Schlicht's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks. What's more, he gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, De La Salle's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Gray, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. That RBI was Gray's first of the season.
The win (which was Foothill's third in a row) raised their record to 9-2. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for De La Salle, their record is now 4-2.
De La Salle's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Foothill hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .332. It's a different story for De La Salle, though, as they've only averaged .242. Will they be able to contain Foothill's hitters?
Foothill suffered a grim 28-2 defeat to De La Salle in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Foothill avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
