At the plate, Kenneth Calderon was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Randy Baez, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Coincidentally, Mission Bay and Calexico will both be playing Escondido the next time they take the field. The Buccaneers will host the Cougars at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Bulldogs will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
