The Roxborough Wolves had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.3 points), and they went ahead and made it nine on Wednesday. They took down Math Civics & Sciences 43-27. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Roxborough also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Roxborough's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaylah Holmes, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Inaya Staten, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Roxborough pushed their record up to 9-2 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 17.44 points. As for Math Civics & Sciences, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
Roxborough will be playing at home against Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Math Civics & Sciences on the road again on Monday and play against Thomas A. Edison at 3:15 p.m. on January 22nd. Thomas A. Edison is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.
