Make it 14 blowout wins for the Coalinga Horned Toads this season. They took their match on the road on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 66-24 victory over Dos Palos. The victory was nothing new for Coalinga as they're now sitting on three straight.
Coalinga's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Breeze Aispuro, who scored ten points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Aispuro has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Julia Gressman, who scored ten points.
Despite the loss, Dos Palos saw an underclassman step up: Hannah Slimp scored 11 points along with five rebounds. That was a full 45.8% of Dos Palos' points, marking the ninth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Coalinga has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. As for Dos Palos, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-17.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coalinga will take on the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tranquillity comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last nine games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
