Jasmynn Jimenez and Isabella Orozco stepped up to the plate in a big way. Jimenez went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Orozco went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Jimenez is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Kylee Warner was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.
Meanwhile, Arvada West didn't have quite enough to beat Chatfield on Monday and fell 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Wildcats have suffered against the Chargers since October 14, 2022.
Morgan Farr spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, Arvada West saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Macie Ferguson, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Bear Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Arvada West, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bear Creek hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .318. However, it's not like Arvada West struggles in that department as they've averaged .394. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
