Fans were treated to a battle of the Lions on Wednesday. Oaks Christian were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over JSerra Catholic. Oaks Christian might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Carson Sheffer, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Quentin Young was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

Oaks Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for JSerra Catholic, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-17.

Oaks Christian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-2 victory against Redlands East Valley on the 16th. JSerra Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
