Ankeny Centennial had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Waukee Warriors a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won eight matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Ankeny Centennial pushed their record up to 14-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Waukee, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-12.

Looking ahead, Waukee will welcome Johnston at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Dragons have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Ankeny Centennial will be paying especially close attention to Waukee's contest: after Waukee faces off against Northwest, they'll take on Ankeny Centennial again on Tuesday.
