Softball Recap: Roland's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Roland and Heavener meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Rangers came out on top against the Wolves by a score of 11-6. Considering the Rangers' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

With the victory, Roland broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-6. As for Heavener, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roland will host Haskell at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Haymakers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Rangers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Heavener, they will challenge McAlester at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
