For Fowler, this counts as revenge for the 61-56 defeat Fresno Christian walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Despite the defeat, Fresno Christian saw an underclassman step up: Sarah Guglielmana dropped a double-double on 25 points and 14 rebounds. Guglielmana has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Anna Pascual, who scored three points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Fowler's win bumped their record up to 15-11. As for Fresno Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 9-18.
Fowler will head out on the road to take on Chowchilla at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Chowchilla is coming into the matchup with six straight losses at home, meaning Fowler will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. Fresno Christian will take on Sierra at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Fresno Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1040th, while Sierra is ranked 342nd).
