Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaiah Ortega, who rushed for 100 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries, and also picked up 100 receiving yards and one TD. Ortega didn't just play on offense: he also made five total tackles and defended one pass. Julian Fernandez was another key rusher, rushing for 101 yards and a pair of scores.
