Kaidon Salter accounted for 410 yards and six touchdowns Friday leading No. 14 Cedar Hill to a wild 49-42 win over third-ranked and visiting DeSoto in the top game featuring MaxPreps Top 25 ranked teams in Texas.
According to the
Dallas Morning News, Salter completed 16 of 21 passes for 210 yards and two scores and added 200 yards rushing and four touchdowns as the Longhorns improved to 5-0.
His 48-yard touchdown scamper in the final two minutes seemed to put this away, giving Cedar Hill a 49-35 lead. But
Chris Henley (108 yards rushing, two touchdowns) scored on a 38-yard TD to make it 49-42 with 1:29 left.
Kevin Young Jr. added 69 yards rushing and a score, and seven catches and 103 yards and another touchdown for the winners, who finished with 444 total yards.
Quarterback
Samari Collier accounted for 273 yards and two touchdowns for DeSoto, which dropped to 4-1.
