Workman has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Sierra Vista Dons at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Workman comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last eight games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Workman suffered their biggest defeat since December 12, 2023 on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a rough 59-25 loss at the hands of Duarte. Workman has struggled against Duarte recently, as their game on Wednesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Sierra Vista didn't have too much trouble with Nogales at home on Monday as they won 53-37. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Sierra Vista.
Sierra Vista got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Zaira Eulloque out in front who scored 22 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Eulloque hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Cailei Buna, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Workman's defeat was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Sierra Vista, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.
Workman was dealt a bruising 73-22 loss at the hands of Sierra Vista when the teams last played two weeks ago. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Buna, who dropped a triple-double on 30 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists. Now that Workman knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
