The Garces Memorial Rams will square off against the Ridgeview Wolf Pack at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are still undefeated (Garces Memorial has five wins , while Ridgeview has 15 dating back to last season).
Garces Memorial had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Bishop Union on Friday. The Rams blew past the Broncos 9-1. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won three games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Adrian Herrera was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025. Cole Forster was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Garces Memorial kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bishop Union only managed six.
Meanwhile, Ridgeview earned an 8-5 win over Righetti on Tuesday.
Joel Gutierrez made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and not a single walk). Gutierrez was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ayden Vasquez, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Adrian Bravo, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
Garces Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Ridgeview, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
Everything went Garces Memorial's way against Ridgeview when the teams last played back in March of 2025, as Garces Memorial made off with a 9-2 victory. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolf Pack turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
