It was a good run, but the Van Nuys Wolves unfortunately witnessed the end of their 12-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 56-43 to Kennedy. Van Nuys was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Kennedy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Among those leading the charge was Gabriella Valles, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Andreya Villa, who scored ten points.
Van Nuys' defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-2. As for Kennedy, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-4.
Van Nuys will take on Reseda at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Reseda will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 960th, while Van Nuys is ranked 291st). As for Kennedy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sylmar at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
