Basketball Recap: Danika Mejico and Kira Carroll Secure Win for St. Lucy's

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for St. Lucy on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Workman Lobos with a sharp 36-13 win. The Regents have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 21 points or more this season.

Leading St. Lucy's to victory were Kira Carroll and Danika Mejico. Carroll posted 12 points and four steals, while Mejico put up five points in addition to 12 rebounds and six steals. Carroll has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Madison Williams, who had eight points in addition to seven boards and four steals.

St. Lucy's is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
