The Monrovia Wildcats will square off against the Pacifica Tritons at 3:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. Monrovia's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8  runs per game  this season, so Pacifica's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Monrovia is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a  win as the  team sidled past Capistrano Valley Christian  5-3.
Monrovia got a great performance from  James Quesenbery as he  tossed six innings while giving up just two earned runs off   four  hits.
 On the hitting side,  Isaias Hernandez was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  double. Another player making a difference was  Sully Zinn, who  went 1-for-2 with two  runs and one  stolen base.
Meanwhile, Pacifica entered their tilt with California on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Condors  an   8-0 shutout.
Not much got past  Alex Villicana, who gave up just  four  hits to keep California off the board.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Jordyn Gonzalez, who  went 3-for-4 with five  RBI, one  triple,  and one  stolen base. Those  five  RBI gave  him a new career-high.  Devon Wilkes was another key player,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  runs and one  stolen base.
 Pacifica was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .375. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  batting average total in three consecutive  matchups.
 Monrovia's record now sits at 21-7. As for Pacifica, their record is now 20-9.
 Monrovia suffered a grim  8-2 defeat to Pacifica  in their previous meeting  back in March of 2022. Can the Wildcats avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
