Football Recap: Providence Piles Up the Points Against North Knox

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Providence had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed past the North Knox Warriors to the tune of 41-14. The result was nothing new for the Pioneers, who have now won six matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.

Providence found their leader in sophomore Nikolas Fondrisi, who threw for 180 yards and three touchdowns.

The win (which was Providence's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.3 points over those games. As for North Knox, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-7.

Coming up, Providence will welcome Springs Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blackhawks' defense has only allowed 7.4 points per game this season, so the Pioneers' offense will have their work cut out for them. North Knox does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
