After a string of three wins, Lake Weir's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 35-34 to the Trinity Catholic Celtics. The Hurricanes were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Celtics earlier this season, when they won 61-45.

Despite the loss, Lake Weir still got an impressive performance from Antonio Jackson, who went 6 for 13 on his way to 13 points and four steals. Jackson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of John Smith, who posted 11 points.

Lake Weir's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Trinity Catholic, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-6.

Lake Weir and Yulee will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday without much rest having both just played. Yulee is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.7 points per game this season. As for Trinity Catholic, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Wildwood at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
