The Highland Park Giants waltzed into  Wednesday's  game with three straight wins  but they left with four. They secured a  39-35 W over Vernon Hills. This was payback for Highland Park, who suffered a  60-31  loss the last time these two teams met.
 Highland Park got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Mckenzie Reitmayer out in front who  dropped  a double-double on 15 points and 13  rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which  Reitmayer has scored at least 25% of Highland Park's points.  Kourtnie Halperin was another key contributor,  scoring 13 points.
 Highland Park's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Vernon Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
 Highland Park will head out on the road to face off against Glenbrook North at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Vernon Hills, they will square off against Hampshire at 6:05  p.m.  on Tuesday. Hampshire presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Vernon Hills in Illinois (Hampshire is ranked 223rd, while Vernon Hills is ranked 447th).
