Two dominant guards in Olivia Woods and Allie Yauch are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Washington Prexies will head out on the road to square off against the Frazier Commodores at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Washington focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Monday.
Last Monday, Washington beat Brentwood 44-31. The win was just what Washington needed coming off of a 51-23 defeat in their prior game.
Washington found their leader in underclassman Woods, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Woods is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kaprice Johnson, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Frazier came up short against Monessen on Tuesday and fell 46-35. Frazier has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Washington has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season. As for Frazier, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.
Everything came up roses for Washington against Frazier in their previous matchup on January 2nd as the team secured a 48-16 victory. With Washington ahead 31-4 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
