The Aquinas Falcons waltzed into their matchup Thursday with four straight wins but they left with five. They had just enough and edged Rancho Cucamonga out 53-51.
Aquinas' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Breanna Bates, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Madeleine De Kodia was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five assists.
Aquinas is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Rancho Cucamonga, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.
